Bomb Blasts, Sporadic Gunshots At FCE Kano

Gunmen have today stormed the Federal Government College of Education (FCE) in Kano, firing repeatedly on fleeing students and setting off an explosion.
Many students were killed in the attack.
Residents of Kabuga area, the host community of the institution said the blast and sporadic gunshots in the vicinity resulted in pandemonium as students and residents scampered to safety while shop owners hurriedly locked up their shops.

As at press time, armed security men were seen heading to the college.
