SEC Honours Late Dr Adadevoh With Post Posthumous Award Of Intergrity

Dr Adadevoh, 58, died on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 after leading the medical team at First Consultants Medical Centre, Lagos that treated Patrick Sawyer who brought the disease into Nigeria.
The Director- General of SEC, Ms Arunma Oteh, said that the award was the Commission’s contributions towards the promotion, recognition and reward for integrity.

APC Primaries: Actor Desmond Elliot Wins Lagos State HOA Ticket, Kenny Saint Brown Loses To Lai Mohammed's Son
Actor Desmond Olusola Elliot has won the ticket to represent Surulere Constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly.
Gospel singer , Kenny Saint Best on the other hand, wasn't that lucky. She lost out her bid to represent the Ikeja 01 Constituency to Folajimi Mohammed, son of APC chieftain and National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed.
Word out is that Desmond Elliot's win was aided by Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, who represents same constituency at the Federal level.
Interestingly, Gbajabiamila is the subject of a controverisial poster that was mounted at Barracks bus stop on Funsho Williams Avenue(formerly Western Avenue) yesterday evening.
The poster protests against Femi Gbajabiamila (member of House of Reps) and Kabiru Lawal (also known as Caesar), a member of Lagos State House of Assembly.
Gbajabiamila is going for his 4th term while 'Ceaser' who was going for the 3rd term has now been knocked out by Desmond Elliot.
A lot of interesting things will sure happen as elections draw close.
Explosions Rock Federal Prisons Ado Ekiti
A prison official was on Monday killed as gunmen attacked the Federal Prison, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
No fewer than 20 sniffer dogs were also slaughtered at the prison yard located on Afao-Ekiti road during the incident.
The gunmen, numbering over 60, according to a source, came to the prison premises in Hilux trucks, wielding dangerous weapons such as cudgels, cutlasses, AK 47 rifles, dynamites and charms .
The source said that the attackers were chanting ‘Allahu Akbar, Akbar’ as they set free some inmates during the attack.
Though, journalists were denied access into the prison yard when they came to the scene of the incident, blood stains were seen on the road leading to the prison, suggesting that some people might have been seriously wounded in the attack.
One of the inmates, who was set free during the attack, returned to the prison and told newsmen that he ran out when he heard sporadic shooting at night, but had to come back.
Addressing journalists at the gate of the prison, the Comptroller of Prison in the state, Mr. Fadipe Abolarin Kehinde, who confirmed the attack, said no casualty was recorded and that Adeniyi Adedipe, a.k.a ‘Apase’ was still in their custordy.
A statement aired on the state-owned radio station had alleged that the action was carried out by All Progressives Congress thugs.
According to the statement, the attack was aimed to set free a murder suspect, Mr Adeniyi Adedipe, who is being remanded in the prison custody over the murder of a former chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Chief Omolafe Aderiye.
According to the Controller of Prisons, “We are moving around to assess the situation. “It was not a jail break but an attack on the prison.
“The main entrance of the prison was broken. What happened is that we were attacked from outside not from within, they came massively with different weapons, they attacked our men on duty, and we have been here since 10.30 yesterday (Sunday).”
On whether inmates were set free during the attack, Abolarin who did not give a specific figure of those who escaped said officers were already out to re-arrest those that escaped during the attack.
“We have some that have been recaptured and kept in police cells.”
Reacting, APC denied any link with the attack describing it as another ploy by the PDP to tarnish the image of the APC in Ekiti State.
The publicity secretary of the party, Chief Taiwo Olatubosun, who spoke on the telephone said “what shall we gain for doing that, we cannot do such things, it is not in our character to do such things.”
Olatubosun added “Very soon the PDP and the governor will have to accuse God for running a clueless government and for their shortcoming.”
Speaking in an interview on the telephone, Olatubosun said the government was talking from the “figment of its imagination” asking “is it the APC that is in charge of the prison or the security of the state? It is the figment of their imagination that the APC is connected with the breaking of the prison. We don’t know anything about it.”
The APC called on the police in the state to build a strong security around the prison saying the PDP might be planning to attack the facility with a view to killing the suspect and other inmates.

Britain's Naked Village Where Residents Do Everything In The Nude(16+ Photos)
The 85 year old Naked Village is going to give an interesting insight into Britain’s oldest naturist colony.
You don’t have to go around naked to live there, but you might feel a bit out of place.
Swimming, household chores and drinking at the local pub are all done in the nude.
There’s even a naked body-art festival and naked yoga.
82-year-old Spielplatz resident Iseult Richardson, whose father Charles Macaskie founded the village, has lived there all her life and insists that they all ‘live normal lives’.
She told The Mirror: ‘There is no difference between naturists and people who live up the street.
‘We all live normal lives but are just lucky enough to live in this extraordinary place. It’s like a small estate.’

The village was founded by Iseult’s father Charles Macaskie, who bought the leafy 12-acre site for £500 in 1929.
It’s in Bricket Wood, a few miles outside St Albans, and is a permanent home to the owners of 34 of its smart little bungalows.
There are another 24 houses available to rent to summer visitors.
The mainly two-bed bungalows come with all mod cons, including mains electricity, water and sewage.
The heart of the village is its club house where the residents get together in the altogether for discos, karaoke sessions, quiz nights and pool tournaments.
A few hundred yards away, unsuspecting motorists crawl past on the busy M1 motorway.
Elsewhere villagers are dealing with those family members of residents who don’t fancy stripping off when they come over. Some are insisting that getting naked should be a condition of visiting.

Governor Fashola Ruled Out As APC's Vice Presidential Candidate
Credible sources in the party say that Governor Fashola’s religion had ruled him out of the race.
The source said that the party would field a Muslim as its presidential candidate, it would therefore impossible to field another Muslim as running mate.
Apart from a former Head of State, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), the party also has three other known presidential aspirants.
They are a former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar; Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwakwanso; and a newspaper publisher, Mr. Sam Nda-Isaiah.
Out of them, only Nda-Isaiah is a Christian.
The source said that though Fashola remained the best candidate for the position, he however regretted that the issue of religion would deny the party and the country the chance of fielding the governor.
